Road Construction Update

Due to the upcoming construction project for Pembroke Ave, we will be modifying our parking starting May 13th!

No vehicles will be allowed to enter 3rd St from Pembroke Ave or 3rd St to Pembroke

We ask that parishioners access the church by using Alleghany Ave.

For those who can walk, we ask you to save the parking on 3rd St. W for those who need to park closer for walking purposes.

During events and weekends, the parking lot behind the gym will be open. Please enter on Bailey Ave.

Please allow for extra time when coming to St. Felix Church as the side entrance will be the only entrance open through the end August.

Mass Intention Policy

St. Felix and St. Agnes Parishes

 Mass Intention Policy

Effective June 18, 2024

There are 105 total Mass intention opportunities (53-Wednesday and 52-Weekend) at St. Agnes and 260 total Mass intention opportunities (156-Weekday and 104-Weekend) at St. Felix in a year. Out of these totals, we need to subtract funeral dates, holy days, Pro Populo Masses (Pastors are expected to offer one Mass every weekend and holy day of obligation for the people of the parish), and times when Father is unavailable to celebrate Mass. To make scheduling Mass intentions easier and more accessible for all, the Liturgy Committee has come up with the following policy:

  • An individual can only schedule 2 Masses per year for specific dates at either Agnes or St. Felix. More than 2 Mass intentions can be accepted, but the other intentions will likely be given to our sister Parish in India or the Propagation of Faith. This will largely depend on scheduling availability. Should we have openings for additional intentions, the intentions could be said at the Parish they were requested for. If we find we have more scheduling availability, this policy could change. According to Diocesan policy, Masses received by the parish must be satisfied within one year of receipt.
  • Of the 2 Mass intentions, only 1 can be scheduled on a weekend (if weekends are available).
  • Only 1 holiday can be requested per year (if available). The same Mass Intention for a holiday cannot be requested 2 years in a row.
  • The Mass Intention calendar will be open for 6 months at a time. The calendar for January 2025 Mass Intentions will open on August 1st. A new month will open at the beginning of each month after that.
  • According to a Decree from the Diocese of Winona, Mass stipends are ten dollars effective immediately.

This policy is subject to change.

Decree from Bishop Quinn

Welcome Back to Mass

Bishop Andrew Cozzens, as Vicar of Catholic Education for the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, has an urgent request that he has asked us to share with every priest, parish, and school. You can watch his short video message here.

Right now legislators and Governor Walz have multiple proposals in front of them that can make real educational choices more accessible to parents and their children. Students, who urgently need access to schools that meet their unique educational needs, ask you and all people of good will to speak out now!

As a Catholic, your leadership on this issue is needed so that more people will take action.

Here are four things you can do to make an immediate impact:

  1. Send a message to your State Representative, Senator, and Governor Walz
  2. Encourage parents at your Catholic school to contact lawmakers
    • You can send this long or short version letter to parents
  3. Encourage your parishioners to speak out
  4. Share the action alert on your parish Facebook and Twitter

Find further resources here.

Thank you for taking the time to help bring better access to real educational opportunities to Minnesota kids.
