Upcoming Conference and Workshop Opportunities
Several upcoming conference and workshop opportunities are being planned to benefit the youth in our parish. For additional information about any of these or to make plans to attend, contact the Faith Formation office at 651-565-3718 or Parish Office at 651-565-3931.
Teen Financial Literacy Workshop
On Saturday, January 21 st from 9am - 3:30pm, a Teen Financial Literacy Workshop will be held at Pax Christi
Church in Rochester. This event is geared toward high school students and will help them to better understand financial issues such as opening and maintaining a checking account, getting a credit card, paying for big expense items such as laptops or smart phones. Presented by Catholic Charities, the event cost is $5 and includes lunch and a free pocket calculator.
Pathways TEC Retreat February 18-20, 2012
Teens (age 16 and up) and adults are invited to attend Pathways Teens Encounter Christ (TEC) weekend to be held at St Leo's Church in Pipestone. Sponsored by the Diocese of Winona and affiliated with National TEC, Pathways TEC is a dynamic, life-giving experience centered in the Paschal Mystery filled with music, inspiring talks, praise and worship. TEC provides an opportunity for ongoing growth in faith and prayer and promotes involvement in the life and mission of the Church.

Steubenville Summer Youth Conference
The annual Steubenville Summer Youth Conference will be held July 13-15 at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester. This event is for youth going into 9th grade through those just graduated. It’s a chance to join over 1,000 teenage in a celebration of Jesus and an opportunity for spiritual growth. The weekend retreat will feature dynamic speaker, music, engaging conversation and prayer. We are planning to have a group from the Wabasha area attend this event.

DCYC (Diocesan Catholic Youth Conference)
Finally, the DCYC (Diocesan Catholic Youth Conference) will be on November 18-19 in Mankato. It’s will be a chance to gather with other high school youth from around our diocese for fun, food and worship! Mark your calendar for this event.
