Exodus, The Call to Freedon"

10 week session by Dr. Tim Gray--part of the Jeff Cavins Series.

"The Exodus can be viewed as the defining moment in Israel’s history, for it was then that God called Israel out of slavery in Egypt and to a life of freedom as His people.

Exodus: Called to Freedom looks through the lens of Christ and the Church to show that, more than just seeking to free His people from the domination of Pharaoh, God desired to free His people from the far more sinister tyranny of sin, so they could live the authentic freedom that belongs to children of God. Because of this, the Exodus story is not just Israel’s story, it is our story as well; it tells us who God is and what He calls us to be."

This Bible Study on the Book of Exodus will begin on Tuesday, January 24.

Classes will be each Tuesday from 6:30-8:15 pm.at St. Felix School in the Faith Formation Office.

Contact Pat Kolb 565-3718 to sign-up. Cost will be $25.00. Workbooks need to be ordered by Friday, January 13.

Catholics Come Home

Many of you might remember the Catholics Come Home® television commercials which were seen on local television stations from March 9 - April 24, 2011. Catholics Come Home® announced that they will air one-minute television commercials from December 16, 2011, through January 8, 2012. The commercials – inspiring invitations to return to parish life or to get to know the Catholic Church – will run more than 400 times on national net-works such as CBS, NBC, TBS, USA, TNT, CNN, and Fox News, reaching every diocese in the United States. Catho-lics Come Home® is a wonderful apostolate dedicated to bringing fallen-away Catholics back to the Church. I en-courage you to invite your family members and friends to come back to the Church for Christmas. If you would like to know more about the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA), or about reconciling with the Church through the Sacrament of Penance, please do not hesitate to contact Father Cook. For more information, please visit: www.CatholicsComeHome.org. Please remember to pray for this national Catholics Come Home® evangelization initiative, and for all souls who will be invited home.
